Operation Rolling Thunder (mar 2, 1965 – nov 2, 1968)
Description:
This was a maintained air raid by the US government over three years on North Vietnam. It had four main objectives, to boost the moral of the Southern Vietnamese, to stop the flow of materials by the Northern Vietnamese, to destroy their industrial bases and air bases, and to stop support for the communist insurgency in the South. This was one of the largest campaigns in the war and was the largest air raid by the US since WWII.
