Operation Rolling Thunder (mar 2, 1965 – nov 1, 1968)
Description:
Operation Rolling Thunder was used as in efforts to “demoralise” the North Vietnamese people. Trying to undermine the capacity of the government and demonstrate near total air supremacy, the United States ceased to fail on both accounts. President Johnson approved Operation Rolling Thunder, and the sustained bombing lasted for almost three years. The U.S. military wanted to pressurize the communist leaders of North Vietnam and prevent their abilities to create war with South Vietnam. They bombed the targets throughout the N.V.
