The Cuban Missile Crisis (oct 16, 1962 – oct 28, 1962)

Description:

The Cuban Missile Crisis was a situation when the USSR placed missiles in Cuba when they reached out for help after the US attacked in the Bay of Pigs. Because of this the tensions between Russia and the United States grew even higher because now Russia was aiding a communist country right next door to the United States. When president Kennedy heard of this he ordered a naval blockade on the island and demand to take the missiles out of the country. Later the USSR agreed to these terms. This is the closest the world got to a World War Three.
