New Methods and Inventions for Farming (jan 1, 1860 – jan 1, 1880)
Description:
 -Dry Farming 
Helped with the lack of water. Farmers would plough the land after heavy rain to preserve moisture in the soil.
-Sulky Plough
A steel plough pulled by horses which made the hard ground easier to farm.
-New Wheat
Russian immigrants introduced Turkey Red Wheat to the Plains which was much easier to grow in the climate.
