Kingdom of Moab (jan 1, 1350 BC – jan 1, 400 BC)
Description:
Moab is an ancient Levantine kingdom, now part of southern Jordan, characterized by mountainous terrain along the eastern shore of the Dead Sea. Its existence is supported by archaeological evidence, notably the Mesha Stele, recounting a Moabite victory over a son of King Omri of Israel, as mentioned in 2 Kings 3. Dibon served as the Moabite capital, and conflicts with neighboring Israelite communities to the west are documented in the Hebrew Bible.
