Adoption of secret ballot (nov 7, 1950 – nov 7, 1950)
Description:
The Omaha Platform advocated for a fair way of voting that lets people vote freely and accurately. They want to make sure that everyone who is allowed to vote can do so without any interference from the government. They suggest that states use the Australian ballot or secret ballot system, which is not corrupt. Many states started using secret ballots from 1884 to 1891. Massachusetts was the first state to meet all the Australian ballot requirements in 1888, and South Carolina was the last state to do so in 1950.
