Graco-persian war (jan 1, 499 BC – sep 22, 449 BC)
Description:
The Graco-persian war was actually a number of conflicts between the Persian Acheamenid empire and the Greek city states. The Greeks ans Persians were fighting because the Greeks killed Persian envoy's. Otherwise known as the Persian war, it is significant because of the fact that the war actually helped enable the growth of Athens. This fits into the key concept of the Development of Sates and Empires
