Description:

Coming to the modern day of developed music and styles, many composers in the contemporary period had complete control over what type of music they wanted to create, how they would do it, and what types of sounds they wanted to make. This period had fewer lyrical melodies than the past periods, very complex rhythms, a very unique percussiveness, and introduced the use of synthetic, or electronic sounds, which some say was the foundation of our nowaday electric music and pop songs that we hear today. Also, this period had the largest change in style for everywhere around the world, including ones such as the blues, rock, funk, hiphop, jazz, metal, roots, and so much more that really turned the tables from the strict rules from the Baroque and Classical Periods.
