Reign of Henry VII of England (jan 1, 1485 – jan 1, 1509)

Description:

Henry VII and the House of Tudor took power in England after the War of the Roses, fought between the houses of York and Lancaster. The house avoided expensive wars, so as not to trigger such unrest that was seen in the peasant revolts. Henry got the house to receive international recognition by marrying his son to Catherine of Aragaon, who was the daughter of Spain’s Ferdinand and Isabella. Henry also reformed the English law system. After his reign ended, Henry had brought much peace to England.
