Description:
The Korean War began when the North Korean Communist army crossed the 38th parallel to invade South Korea. The leader of North Korea, Kim II-sung, armed with Soviet tanks, thus the U.S. quickly began to aid the South. After three years of fighting a bloody and frustrating war, The U.S., China, North Korea, and South Korea agreed to an armistice, thus ending the Korean War.
