Cuban Missile Crisis (oct 16, 1962 – oct 28, 1962)
Description:
The Cuban Missile Crisis was a direct, dangerous confrontation between the US and USSR. The Soviet Union were moving missiles into Cuba, a communist country at the time. The U.S. saw that as a threat due to the close proximity to America. President JFK gave the Soviets an ultimatum to either pull out of Cuba or engage in nuclear war. It took two weeks for the Soviets to pull the missiles out of Cuba, during this time the world lived in constant fear.
