Description:

Married Marie Antoinette: allies France with Austria

Helps out America in the Revolution in order to get revenge for the French Indian War against Britain- costs a lot of money

Bad harvests = increased food prices = more hunger = more anger

Finally had to go the the Estates General (French Parliament)

Decides that 3rd Estate can have more delegates than the 1st and 2nd (because it is so much bigger- 97%)

BUT each estate gets 1 vote regardless of how many delegates they have- every law that tries to pass to help the 3rd Estate gets voted down 2-1 by first two estates
