Description:
This movement took place after the American Revolution and continued to influence religious, social, and cultural developments which impacted psychological landscape. The movement served similar purpose as the first awakening. It influenced how people thought about and understood their own inner experiences, contributing to the study of subjective psychological experiences. this movement influenced how individuals experienced and expressed their emotions, interacted within communities, and thought about personal and moral matters, all of which are relevant to the broader study of psychology (Kidd, 2008).
