Ming/Shun Dynasty (China) (jan 1, 1368 – jan 1, 1644)
Description:
"Great Ming" would rule over China from the time of the Yuan collapse until their own downfall at the hands of the Manchu Qing dynasty in the 17th century.
This Dynasty would see a resurgence in Chinese power, with the largest tax base, army and dockyards in the world. It would also see the flourishing of Chinese cultural power and the creation of the famed Porcelain Tower of Nanjing and Forbbiden City, a Palace complex at the heart of Beijing.
The Ming Dynasty would survive crises of the mid 15th century as their economy struggled and Piracy was rampant but would ultimately collapse in the 17th century following economic disruptions brought by trade with European powers, disease outbreaks and crop failures. It would be replaced by a short-lived Shun dynasty until this was conquered by the encroaching Qing.
