Operation Rolling Thunder (mar 2, 1965 – nov 1, 1968)
Description:
As a part of the Vietnam operation Rolling Thunder were United States dropped 1,600,000 tons of bombs. The goal was to bomb oil rigs and not above the 17th parallel to avoid China and Soviet Union to participate. But the Vietnamese built undergrounds tunnels and survived well, later the US started bombing cities and going further up in the country.Added to timeline:
