Description:
The Vietnam War lasted for 20 years, it was about the Communist North Vietnam against the South Vietnam that was supported by the US. The North Vietnam wanted a united communist country without a foreign government and US was determined to prevent communism. In the war a total of 58,307 American troops were killed and 304,000 were wounded. The war ended when the American troops withdrawn.Added to timeline:
