Cuban Missile Crisis - Oct 16, 1962 – Oct 28, 1962During the Cold War between US and Soviet Union the two countries tried to figure out how the other were doing on atomic weapons. Therefore US had a U-2 spy plane fly over Cuba were they saw that Soviet began to install nuclear missiles. The US were not supposed to fly with spy planes over there but they were scared since Cuba is so close to US. Later US and Soviet decided that Soviet would remove the missile in Cuba if US removed thiers in Turkey and a nuclear war was avoided.
