CCC (apr 5, 1933 – jul 1, 1942)
Description:
CCC stands for the Civilian Conservation Corps which was part of Roosevelt’s New Deal. This was a work relief program for men ages 18-25 who were unemployed and unmarried. They were required to work at least 6 months and received $30 a month. From the $30 they were required to send $22-$25 dollars home to help support their families. This program had a big part in fixing or constructing shelters and trees in 800 national parks.
