Turnabout Legacy (apr 2, 2019 – apr 2, 2019)

Description:

Attempted murder of Carmelo Gusto by Judy Bound.

- Renowned actress Judy Bound retired and bought the Tangaroa Mansion, which was repossessed shortly after Samson Tangaroa was arrested as an accomplice for Paul Halique's murder. Bound repurposed the mansion to be an art gallery dedicated to Paul Halique's work, which included the final ice sculptures made during the IS-7 incident.

- Bound had discovered that Halique's body that vanished 18 years was frozen in his own ice sculptures, so she devised a plot to kill whoever was responsible by filling the sculpture's display box with asphyxion and freezing ubiquium to its lid. When the lid would be removed, a lethal gas created by mixing the two chemicals would be released into the room. Bound's intention was to advertise Halique's final works to lure his killer to the gallery and kill them when they tried to dispose of Halique's body before anyone could notice it. She arranged the Winter and Autumn Palaces to be incredibly similar to deceive the killer and keep other visitors away from the gas.

- Many notable figures were present for the gallery's premiere, including Miles Edgeworth, Edward Fender, Delicia Scone, and "Laurice Deauxnim" (commonly known as Larry Butz). The plan seemed to work in Bound's favor as Carmelo Gusto fell victim to her ploy. Butz inadvertently saved Gusto seconds before death by opening the Autumn Palace, but doing so released the gas to the whole hall. Edgeworth called for authorities and cleared the gallery while Bound quickly took Gusto to the mansion's infirmary with Scone with an alterior intention of avoiding suspicion.

- Edgeworth managed to deduce the whole plot and managed to discover the truth of IS-7, all while working against Judge Verity Gavelle and Eustace Winner. By the time everyone learned that Bound was responsible for the gas, Gusto recovered from his ailments. Gusto also confessed to murdering Halique and his intention of framing Scone under the assumption that he could not be charged, as the statute of limitations for IS-7 had expired. However, exceptions were found in the law that led to the possibility of Gusto's conviction and Samson Tangaroa's release from prison. Bound was arrested for attempted murder, but Fender took up her defense.
