- While returning from Borginia, Interpol Agent Akbey Hicks was murdered and Miles Edgeworth was the main suspect.

- Akbey Hicks was investigating the Cohdopia International Smuggling Ring, specifically the stolen Alif Red Statue, before being murdered.

- Cammy Meele revealed herself to be an agent for the Cohdopia International Smuggling Ring who would transfer and oversee smuggled goods while working as a flight attendant.

- Franziska von Karma was supposed to meet with Agent Akbey Hicks after the flight for a report, as she became Interpol's lead prosecutor for pursuing the Cohdopia International Smuggling Ring.
