Description:

Murder of Valerie Hawthorne by Melissa Foster (Dahlia Hawthorne). Defendant is Terry Fawles.

- First trial for Mia Fey as the defense and Miles Edgeworth as the prosecution.

- Witness Melissa Foster was exposed to actually be "Dahlia Hawthorne" under a fake alias, which was created by Valerie Hawthorne after the blood-diamond theft from 5 years prior. Dahlia was considered deceased after that incident, but the entire ordeal was revealed to be a scheme for theft.

- Due to the sudden suicide of Terry Fawles on the stand, the case went unsolved. Mia Fey was traumatized and did not try another case until 14 months later. Dahlia Hawthorne walked away a free woman.
