Description:
The M1857 12 pounder napoleon was a common smooth bore artillery that was used by the U.S army during the Civil War. This cannon was muzzle loading and it could fire a round shot 1,680 yards. It was named after Napoleon the 3rd of France who helped develop it. It fired a 12.03 lb. round shot a distance of 1,619 to 1,680 yd. A total of 1,157 were produced for the U.S. Army.
