Drama was considered the peak of Sanskrit Literature
Used Stock characters ( hero/heroine, clown/nayaka, nayika, vidusaka)
Famous playwrights: Kalidasa, Bhavabhuti, and Emperor Harsha
Main source of evidence for Sanskrit theatre was "A treatise on Theatre" - Natyasastra
