Description:
Bharata Muni wrote what is now known as the most complete compilation of dramaturgy from the ancient world.
Its exact origin date is unknown, but estimated between 200 BC and 200 AD.
It is an encyclopedia of theater: 36 chapters and a total of 6000 verses describing performing arts, including things such as play structure, stage construction, makeup and costumes, and much more.
This book still influences dance, music and literary traditions in India to this day.
