Al-Kindi, the first slef-propoed philosiphor (jan 1, 800 – jan 1, 873)

Description:

Abu Yusuf Ya‘qub ibn Ishaq Al-Kindi (ca. 800–870 CE). He was a part of the Kufa tribe and was born into a noble family.

The first self-identified philosopher. Al-KIndi rendered works of mathematicians, scientists, Aristotle, and Neoplatonists into Arabic. Was the first to introduce philosophy into the Islamic world. He Wrote 260 books about many different topics including geometry, philosophy, medicine, and others. Was also the one who proposed that the world isn't eternal and that God was "A simple one". Basically one of the first to question divinity and religion.
