Description:
The Patron Saint of France, Joan of Arc is famed for her defense of France in the Hundred Year's War.
Born a peasant, by divine guidance, she decided she must fight for her country.
Through divine guidance she was able to orchestrate a momentous victory at Orleans, halting the English in their conquest of France.
She was eventually captured by the English and sentenced to death by burning.
