The 1920s-1950's is known as the GOLDEN AGE OF RADIO.
-The number of licensed radio stations numbered 5, in 1921. By 1925, over 600 radio stations populated the USA.
Radio broadcasting through the radio transformed the musical landscape and popular culture of the time. It created an important connection between the urban city center and the small rural townships. Now, everyone had access to music nationwide. New music, evolving music, and the themes and influences played through the radio, began to gain popularity throughout the country, and influence change like never before.
