Franco- Prussian War (oct 21, 1870 – oct 21, 1871)

Description:

- Northern German states want to unify Germany under the leadership of Prussia
-South germany isn't totally on board and France doesn't want a strong German nation to threaten them
-Bismarck doctors a telegram to make it look like the French and Prussian kings were insulting each other
-France declares a war which the german states win
-This elminates the opposition on France while simultaneously bringing Northern and Southern Germany together
