Ten Pound Pom Scheme (jan 1, 1945 – jan 1, 1970)
Description:
It was the Assisted Passage Scheme form the Australian Government to attract more British migrants. The price for one ticket to Australia was 10 pounds (hence the name), and the assisted migrants were to work for a period of time.
