Description:
From 1820 to 1840 the industrialization transitioned from a hand production methods to new machinery, chemical manufacturing and iron processes, and water power improved. This lead to the Civil War because the Southerners made profit off of slaves and cotton, and fought a war to maintain themselves, but the Northerners did not need slaves so they fought a war to free slaves.Added to timeline:
