On January 10, 641, Gelkam Álegnam's forces surrounded DInisum, leaving Andieldam and his court stuck in the city. On January 15, they breached the walls and started ransacking the city trying to find the sitting emperor. However, Andieldam was found in the castle's citadel where he gave up power to Gelkam and allowed himself to be imprisoned.

3 days later on January 19, the new emperor, Skálam Polabram who had just defeated Gelkam, freed Andieldam on the basis that he would get to keep his holding as Setufougam of Oudum if he vowed alliegence to Skálam and to never raise an army against him. Andieldam agreed and continued to rule the TufaOudui until he suffered a heart attack and died in 652.
