Greco-Roman Age (jan 1, 753 BC – jan 1, 476)

Description:

The Hellenic Age, or the Greco-Roman period marked a significant advancement in human ingenuity as Mathematics, Science and Art, Philosophy, and other fields took on a more important role than ever before. The Roman Empire, founded in the late Iron age in 753 BC, would characterize this period due to the empire growing to encompass virtually all of Europe, Northern Africa, and the near-East. The advancements made in this era would be a huge step forward for humanity, but would sadly fall into obscurity after the collapse of the western half of the empire plunged the west into a dark age. Not until the Renaissance rediscovered the works of Roman antiquity would the innovations of Rome be widely understood. Invading Germanic forces collapsed the already faltering Western Roman Empire in 476 AD.
