Massive death toll of the Black Death causes an outbreak of ghoul infestation across affected territories, hinging the existence of the Masquerade on its very edges.Golden Court seeks to exterminate the aggressive undead as efficiently as they can. Both the prevalence of the walking dead, and the appearance of the vampires personally causes a spike in superstition.
