Early Days of Existence (feb 2, 1935 – jun 1, 1938)

Description:

The three sons of Perpetua operated in harmony in order to provide their mother with a perfect Omniverse so that her purpose may be fulfilled. Mar Novu, the Over-Monitor, who safely watched over the Multiverse comprised of Positive Matter, ensuring that it did not collapse; Mobius, the Anti-Monitor toiled away within his Antimatter Universe to ensure that the Light of Creation did not reach the Greater Omniverse and disturb The Hands, which would lead to them destroying the DC Omniverse; Alpheus, the World Forger, toiled away to create infinite universes for the Multiverse above, sending those worthy to the domain of his brother Mar Novu and feeding those unworthy to his pet dragon Barbatos. However, after discovering that their mother had been using her powers as an excuse to live beyond her function, the three brothers joined forces and banished Perpetua from the DC Multiverse, trapping her outside of it with a creation of Mar Novu's: the Source Wall. However, the Source Wall had another, unintended feature other than keeping Perpetua out; it also kept the Light of Creation from entering the Greater Omniverse, thus rendering Mobius and his Antimatter Universe useless. It is for this reason that the Over-Monitor and Anti-Monitor entered an eons-long war that would eventually result in the event known as the Crisis on Infinite Earths, in which the entirety of the infinite positive matter Multiverse would be reduced to simply one universe. Sometime between the imprisoning of Perpetua and the Crisis on Infinite Earths, Alpheus the World Forger, who had spent most of this time hard at work creating universes, was murdered by his own pet dragon Barbatos, who took over the forge and began creating his own Dark Multiverse within the Dark Matter Universe, one comprised of the worst nightmares of the denizens of the Positive Matter Multiverse.
