The Silvermane War (feb 26, 1930 – apr 15, 1931)

Description:

A bloody power struggle for control of the Italian-American Mafia that took place in New York City, between partisans of Silvio "Silvermane" Manfredi (backed by Count Luchino Nefaria) and those of Alfredo Morelli. Manfredi's faction won and divided New York's crime families into the Five Families. The bosses of the Five Families of New York were to be Bruno Karnelli, Marco Giraldi, Alberto Benedetti, and Frank Crusetti. Manfredi called a meeting of crime bosses where he declared himself capo di tutti capi ("boss of all bosses").
