Spanish American War (apr 21, 1898 – dec 10, 1898)
Description:
This war would lead to Spain no longer having so much empirical power and solidifying the US as a Pacific power. The end of the war meant a treaty that meant Spain had to give up claims on Cuba, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines to the US.
