The Juneau Time Capsule (jan 1, 1994 – jan 1, 2094)
Description:
Jeneau is Alaska’s Federal Building, and includes a room time capsule with an observation window. The capsule was closed in 1994, and the room is packed with thousands of pieces of memorabilia scrounged by locals as a citywide project, (Wonderbra, a Sony Walkman, a Barbie doll, old drivers licenses, family mementos and menus from all of Juneau’s restaurants), as well as hundreds of letters written by schoolchildren to the students of the future.
