Jair (may 26, 1126 BC – dec 20, 1105 BC)
Description:
Judges 10:3-5
Jair became judge immediately after Tola, and he judged Israel for 22 years.
Jair was from the tribe of Gilead-Manasseh. He had 30 sons, each of whom had their own town in the region of Gilead (known as Havvoth Jair). These towns would later be captured by the Aramites and the Geshurites.
After Jair's death, the Israelites suffered oppression for 18 years at the hands of the Philistine and Ammonites.
