Tet Offensive: Large escalation of war where many attacks on South Vietnam took place.North Vietnamese led attacks on South Vietnam. The North Vietnamese wanted the United States to reduce their involvement and weaken the public support for the United States. Many Americans turned against the war and Johnson.
