Cesare Beccaria (jan 1, 1738 – jan 1, 1794)

Description:

Cesare Beccaria's ideas were the Rights of the Accused, otherwise known as Criminal Justice. These ideas were of criminals not being tortured, innocent until proven guilty, punishment being scaled with the crime committed, etc. These ideas were later published during 1764 in "On Crimes and Punishments". Cesare disapproved of secret trials and corrupt judges labeling innocents as guilty, and the guilty as innocent.
