Baron de Montesquieu was a French philosopher who was born into a rich family. This allowed him to get a good education, making it possible for him to write many books. He wrote "Persians Letters" with his friends in 1722 to poke at the French governing systems. His famous book; "Spirit of the Laws" was about his idea of three separation of power in government, like the U.S.
