Description:
The Peninsula Campaign was an attempt to capture the Confederate capital at Richmond from the southeast. The Union's failure gave the Confederates a win and prolonged the Civil War. General Lee was forced the withdrawal of the Federal Army of the Potomac after the Seven Days' Battles.
