Bolsheviks seize power (oct 7, 1917 – oct 25, 1917)
Description:
7-9th: Lenin returns to Petrograd to try and spark a revolution. Kerensky sends radical army units out of Petrograd. PS sets up the 'MRC' to defend the city.
10th: Revolution is agreed in a 10-2 vote (against Zionviev and Kamenev)
24th: Kerensky tries to close 2 newspapers. He raised the bridges linking working-class areas to the Petrograd centre. Bolsheviks use it as an excuse to act.
25th: Kerensky flees to the war front to try and gain army support. The PG meet in the Winter Palace but Bolsheviks storm it with Trotsky and arrest them.
