Description:

John F. Kennedy was president in 1961. He was an American politician who served as the 35th president of the United States from 1961 until his assassination in 1963. He was one of the youngest U.S., as well a the first Roman Catholic to hold the office. As President, it was important becasue he set out to redeem his campaign pledge to get America moving again. Before his death, he laid plans for a massive assault on persisting pockets of privation and poverty. Two people were involved in the election John F. Kennedy was running against Richard Nixon. The people that were at the election voted for John F. Kennedy because he was ready for his speech and he looked confident. The people that voted for Richard Nixon were listening to it on the radio. Richard Nixon was not ready for his election speech he was sweating and shaking and the people on the radio just heard him and he was good at talking.
