Description:
After Japan surrendered in August 1945, the Chinese Communist Party and the Nationalists agreed to peace talks and to ceasefire. By the start of 1946, Japan and China were again fighting for control of the country. Mao Zedong declared the formation of the People's Republic of China. The Chinese Civil War caused millions of deaths at the hands of Mao Zedong.Added to timeline:
