Description:
Galileo Galilei was an Italian scientist known for his observations of the planets and stars. He invented optical instruments, like a telescope, which allowed him to see some new details of celestial bodies that were previously inaccessible. He was a supporter of the Copernican theory and proved its truth with the help of his research. Galileo also discovered 4 large satellites of Jupiter, studied the phases of Venus.
