When he was preparing for the lecture, he noticed that when he tells the Brazil students with English, thy will be hard to understand what he is talking about. So, he decided to learn Portugues, which is a language Brazil use. Even his Portugues is not that great, he was able to delㅑver his words more better. Later in the interview, the Brazil students were pleased to Feynman.
