Greensboro Sit ins (9h 41min, feb 1, 1960 y – 4h 10min, jul 25, 1960 y)
Description:
The Greensboro sit ins were a series of protests in which mostly young students would sit in at white lunch counters and refuse to leave after denial of service. Their actions forced many lunch counters to change their racist policy, as the repeated sit ins made it impossible to stay afloat and refuse service to blacks as well.
