The Russian Border Wars (jan 1, 1813 – jan 1, 1828)
Description:
Russia invaded Iran to gain territory and warm water ports. Post-war, Iran was in debt to Russia and obligated to give Russian merchants a tax discount. Britain felt threatened by Russia's invasions, which led to an agreement between the two powers to not expand further into Iran and let it serve as a buffer. Furthermore, Britain gained similar tax discounts as Russia, who both pillaged Iran's natural resources.
