Egyptian (jan 1, 3000 BC – jan 1, 33 BC)
Description:
Egyptian craftsmanship history during the time of 3000 to 332 BC witnessed a few huge occasions that influenced the improvement of workmanship in the locale. The earliest form of hieroglyphic writing, which was widely used in architecture and art, appeared at the beginning of the period. The iconic Giza pyramids and monumental sculpture, including the Sphinx, were built during the Old Kingdom, which lasted from 2686 to 2181 BC. The exquisite statues of Memi and Sabu are prime examples of this shift toward more naturalistic and empathetic representations in art during the Middle Kingdom, which lasted from 2055 to 1650 BC. New art forms emerged during the New Kingdom, from 1550 to 1070 B.C., including the distinctive style of art of the Amarna period, with its elongated figures and stylized, exaggerated features. In addition, numerous temples and tombs decorated with intricate paintings and sculptures were built during this time, demonstrating the rich creativity and artistic expression of the ancient Egyptians.
